Two for Seven Signing

Two for Seven Signing refers to a pivotal moment occurring before the commencement of the Midshipmen’s Second Class year at the USNA. During this event, midshipmen formalize their commitment to the Navy by signing papers that constitute the official contract between them and the Navy. In this arrangement, midshipmen commit to spending the remaining two years at the Naval Academy in exchange for a minimum of five years of service after commissioning, resulting in a total commitment of seven years to the Navy. This commitment ceremony is not open to the public.

2/C Parents’ Weekend

Parents’ Weekend offers an exceptional opportunity for parents to visit with their midshipman in the historic surroundings of the Academy and the town of Annapolis and to expand their knowledge of the traditions, academic life and unique atmosphere of the Naval Academy. The schedule of events planned during 2nd Class Parents’ Weekend provide an experience that e is both enjoyable and informative.

Many special events are planned often including a full dress parade, a Navy football game, and a Glee Club & Gospel Choir Concert.
